In fact, I still have many I am working toward right now. But I got tired of waiting for the “right time” to make them happen. I spent some time wondering how one goes about turning their dreams into reality. The answer? What we've heard from so many dream chasers who came before us: just dive in and do it.
That means different things to different people. With my professional background in project management, to me it meant I needed to break my dreams down into actionable steps, create a plan, and then execute it. Sounds simple enough, right?
For some reason, I find this infinitely harder to do for myself than it is to do for other people. Perhaps you can relate? But it's not impossible. Nothing is impossible. So I took a leap.
My dreams are not unique. I have met a very large number of mothers with the same one: the freedom to earn a living from home, on my own terms, so I can help support my family while also being there for them. This “have it all” dream seemed unattainable at first. It was big, and scary, and abstract. It is also what ultimately drove me toward entrepreneurship and the realm of online business.
I tried A LOT of things before I found my footing. Through this experience, I quickly recognized that my true strengths lay in helping others believe in their dreams. It became my passion to assist others in breaking down their aspirations into actionable steps, empowering them to take charge of their own lives and futures. For me, new dream emerged.
